We had a gorgeous (i.e. not raining, occasionally bright) day for winter league 1 with both teams winning 2 out of 3 games.

In the first round, Team Sirloin came back from being 2-nil down to beat ABH by a mile then had a convincing victory (11-7 or so) over Galahs 1 that Team T-bone had tired out for us during a close match in the first round (12-8 to the Galahs). In the second round, Team T-bone beat ABH 2 (13-4) and then made an amazing comeback during the third round to beat ABH 1 (13-9) having been 9-5 down!

Team Sirloin played some great ultimate in the final(!) against our archrivals Flump but with only 8 players (Brick? Dude?) we didn’t have the legs to give them a real run for it. Final score 12-4 (I think). Everyone seemed to be playing hard and having fun but special mentions to Ben who was a hucking and layout monster for T-bone and to Ange who threw and received long scores all day long for Sirloin! Thanks to everyone for making WL1 a successful Herd outing.
